Help support the arts in public schools! Make a cool birdhouse and be a part of Design Week this fall!
Written by cre8tivegirl | June 4, 2012

Put a Bird In It is an opportunity to unite our creative powers to help raise money for music and art programs in Portland public schools through All Hands Raised, First Octave.WeMake has partnered with Vitamin T, Union Pine, NEW, Woodcrafters, Muse and ADX to organize this awesome community art project for Portland Design Week!
Each participant will receive a birdhouse template and FREE materials. You will have a month and a half to build it, paint it (etc.) and have fun! In September, the birdhouses will go on public display all over stores, vendors and public spaces in Portland. October 12th, they will be auctioned off at Union Pine where we are hosting a raging party with special guest illustrator Aaron Draplin. It should be a night to remember and a great way to celebrate Portland’s design community.
